The Demopolis Tigers suffered a heartbreaking Homecoming loss to the visiting Montgomery Catholic Knights Friday. The Tigers were unable to find a groove and came away with a stinging 42-0 loss in the Sept. 29 non-region game.

By halftime, the Knights had taken a 21-0 lead and they continued their dominating performance throughout the second half. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 3-2 on the season.

Up next for Demopolis is a road trip to take on the Shelby County Wildcats in Columbiana in a 5A Region 3 battle, on October 6. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 49-6 non-league loss to Moody. Demopolis defeated the Wildcats 48-6 last season.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
