Several classes from John Essex High School gathered for a reunion on Oct. 20 at the old school grounds. Alumni said returning to their alma mater was an exciting event but was also somewhat bittersweet as the high school is no longer in operation. John Essex closed its doors in 2014 due to a steadily dwindling student population. Prior to its closure in 2014, the school had been in operation for nearly fifty years.
