Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Are you finding we all need more wisdom in today’s world? Some days, it seems there is no one searching for wisdom.

The dictionary defines wisdom as “the ability to think and act utilizing knowledge, experience, good judgment, common sense, and insight.” I have heard it said that wisdom is applied knowledge.

True wisdom comes from above. James 3:17: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere,”

True wisdom comes from God. In Proverbs 2:1-6,” verse 6 says, “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.”

If we listen to the news, it does not sound like the world around us is using common sense, insight, or Godly wisdom.

The Bible tells us that in the end days, we will have wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, and diseases of all kinds. It tells us that men’s hearts will fail from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heavens will be shaken,” Luke 21:26

In our life today, we need the wisdom that comes from God. Psalm 111:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” God is sovereign. He loves us all so much that He gave His only Son as a sacrifice so that we might have eternal life and a peace that passes all understanding.

When we walk with Jesus, we will not fear the terrors of the night or the things that may be happening—the wisdom God gives lights the path where we should walk.

I pray for our nation and the land of Israel that was given to the Jews from a long ages past. The Book of Job is thought to be the oldest book in the Bible. Job 42:2 reminds us that “no purpose of Yours (God) can be thwarted.”

Walk in wisdom, and God will protect and guide us.
