Demopolis police are warning motorists of a construction project that will close two sections of city streets.

“Main Avenue will be closed to traffic from Washington Street to Franklin Street,” Demopolis police warned on social media.

“Franklin Street will be closed from Main Avenue to Walnut Street. Workers will be working in the area doing drainage repair.”

City officials said the project is supposed to take several months.
