Thousands of financially vulnerable seniors and adults with disabilities qualify for, but are not yet enrolled in, programs that could help pay expenses and increase quality of life. One such program is SenioRx through Alabama Tombigbee Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging.
The SenioRx program helps individuals who lack health insurance or prescription drug coverage obtain the medications they need.
SenioRx is no longer just for seniors! People of any age who are disabled, have applied for disability, or their doctor deems them disabled can qualify for help through SenioRx.
“We also assist Medicare beneficiaries who have reached the coverage gap (donut hole) receive their medications through this program,” said Ann Kaithryn House, SenioRX Coordinator. “We work with pharmaceutical companies to provide free or low-cost prescription drugs to qualifying individuals.”
SenioRx has been able to assist with medications such as Eliquis, Ozempic, Xarelto, Farxiga, Entresto and many more.
Over the last year, ATRC Aging has helped hundreds of people receive their medications at little or no cost to them, saving them over a million dollars in prescription costs!
