Isabell Gertrude Stapleton, 70, of Uniontown died Wednesday, June 5 at Uniontown. She was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Sprott.

She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Wilkinson of Uniontown, and Renee (Steve) King of Uniontown; sons, Doyle (Regina) Stapleton of Tuscaloosa and Thomas Stapleton of Uniontown; sisters, Ann (Bruce) Gates of Selma and Betty (John) Gates of Faunsdale; brother, Billy (Seretha) Ray of Demopolis; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at Uniontown Church of God with Brother Bouse, Brother Bridges and Joey Wilkinson officiating, and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the church with burial following at Rosemount Cemetery in Uniontown.

Active pallbearers are Josh Ray, Shawn Stapleton, Tommy Stapleton, Shelby Stapleton, Anthony Dixon and Wayne Ray. Honorary pallbearer is Morgan Dixon.
