Kelly Johnstone Sherrod, 48, passed peacefully on Monday, May 13 at her residence with a heart attack.

She was born April 8, 1965, in San Francisco, Calif., to Kathy Lowery and Jack Johnstone of Sonoma, Calif.

She was a homemaker, caregiver and a folk artist. In 2003, she married the love of her life, Christopher J. Sherrod.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Sullivan.

Family and friends were her passion and delight. She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher J. Sherrod; daughter, KC Sullivan (Michael Coleman) Sherrod; brothers, Allen Stolz and Jerry Abernathy; and two cousins, Ellen Bridgeman and John Fullam.

She was expecting her first grandchild due in August. She leaves behind a number of other close friends who loved her very much. She requested cremation and a small memorial service.

The family wishes to thank all who cared for her during her illness.
