Katie Beth Avery, 18 from Demopolis has the ultimate job. She gets flown all over the United States and has people wanting on her hand and foot, while getting paid just to look pretty in other people’s clothing. Avery is a fashion model.

Avery’s been modeling professionally now for over two years and in such a short span has become a widely popular model across America. Avery’s agent Kevin Urritta with All-Star Management Group said that since he has been representing her, he has already had two things happen to him that have never happened before.

“She is so popular, we’ve already had two calls from Playboy Magazine, which she turned down and one from Maxim Magazine,” Urritta said.

Avery never really wanted to be a model when she was younger, but when she started getting older she decided to enter an application on a model search website. She was offered a guaranteed contract from Modellook.com two years ago and that started the whole process off.

Avery has blossomed into a rising star on the model scene since sending that application in. She has already complied over 200 photo shoots with some of the most sought after photographers in the United States, such as Chuck St. John and Dennis Kiem.

Also, she has been in two commercials, one of which was for Visionland in Birmingham.

“I shot a commercial for Visionland a while back. It was a lot of fun,” Avery said.

She has recently completed a calendar shoot in Long Beach California with Jesse James’ West Coast Choppers. The same Jesse James that has the show Monster Garage on the Discovery Channel. James is famous for his custom made motorcycles. He has built choppers for WWE superstar Goldberg, Shaquille O’Neal, and Supermodel Tyson Beckford.

Avery along with her mother Judy Scarbrough were flown all expenses paid to Los Angeles, California and then drove to Long Beach to meet with James. Avery actually got to meet with James, who never meets with the models, but he wanted to meet with her.

“Jesse wanted to meet me because he has never heard someone from Alabama speak before. He really liked my accent,” Avery said.

She shot for one day posing with James’ Figure 8 car from Monster garage. She received $500 for her days work and also received about $300 worth of merchandise that James autographed for her.

“Jesse was super nice and he was great to work with,” Avery said.

Avery said the calendar will be out in October and she can’t wait to see how it turns out.
