Ralph Stanley Griffith Sr. , 80, of Demopolis passed away March 16 at Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery.Born May 15, 1930 in Marengo County to the late Ralph Thomas and Dessimond Bridges Griffith, he is survived by his wife, Georgette Hardenbergh Griffith, daughters Bridget (Wayne) Sheffield Griffith of Thomaston and Lynn T. (Paul) Whiddon of Niceville, Fla., sons Ralph S. (Michelle) Griffith Jr. of Linden, James W. (Ester) Griffith of Mobile, David T. (Debbie) Griffith of Demopolis, John C. Griffith of Akron and Joseph M. Tidmore of Demopolis, sisters Barbara G. Willis of Faunsdale and Jewel G. Dalton of Montgomery, brother Robert T. (Pauline) Griffith of Thomaston, 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at McKinley Cemetery in McKinley, Ala. with Brooks Barkley officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends Saturday night form 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include his grandsons Trey, Jason, Thomas, Carson Griffith and his nephews Bobby Griffith and Tommy Willis.

Honorary pallbearers include all masons and the Ulmer Tucker Sunday school class at First Baptist Church in Demopolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKinley Cemetery, care of Michael Wilis, 1665 County Road 1, Gallion, AL 36742.
