Police are seeking information about a hit and run accident Saturday morning that left an Indiana man dead.

Edward Woods, of Gary, Ind., was killed in the early morning hours Dec. 3 as he walked across U.S. Highway 80 near the Red Carpet Inn. Demopolis Chief of Police Tommie Reese is asking any witnesses to please contact his office.

Too, if you are not a witness but feel you may have information helpful to investigation, investigators would also like to speak with you.

Woods was in town attending a funeral and Reese said was killed only hours after his arrival.
