National Signing Day will see at least three players sign letters of intent to continue their football playing careers at the next level.

Barring last minute changes, Demopolis offensive lineman Steven Foster will maintain his nearly year-long commitment and sign to play for South Alabama. Foster participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game in December and was an ASWA Class 5A All-State selection.

Linden linebacker Terris Lewis is set to sign with Troy. Lewis was an ASWA Class 1A All-State selection, the ASWA Class 1A Lineman of the Year and the lone 1A participant in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game.

Linden head coach Andro Williams said as many as four other players may sign after National Signing Day, citing Anthony Bates, Ryan Preston, Kevan Rembert and Julian Little as players who have received offers.

Sweet Water’s Ty Morgan, who played linebacker and tight end for the Bulldogs, will sign with the University of West Alabama.

The players have all been invited to take part in the third annual 104.9 Coaches Show National Signing Day Special at Batter Up Sports Grill in Demopolis from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The initiative, a partnership between 104.9 and The Demopolis Times, will be sponsored by the Med Center and will see players and coaches from around the region provided lunch as they commemorate the next step in their football careers.

Sumter-Central will be on hand with 11 players set to sign. That group is headlined by University of Alabama commit Darren Lake. Joining Lake will be Roderick Harris, who will sign with Jones Junior College (Miss.), Robert Lee, Steve Degraffenreid and Murry Miller, who will sign with Miles, Kevin McCollum and Lamarcus Hudson, who will sign with Benedict College (S.C.) and Jamarrus Childers, Dequoine Horne, Ephraim Johnson and De’vaunte Ruffin, who are each headed to the University of West Alabama.
