FORKLAND &8212; Estella Weston-Moore, 89 of Forkland died on March 25, 2007 at her residence.

Funeral services were held at noon on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the Old Greene Oak Baptist Church in Forkland. The Rev. Johnny R. Lewis officiated. Iris Sermon was the mistress of ceremony.

Interment followed in Longin Cemetery in Forkland.

and Johnny Ray Lewis of Tuscaloosa and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Willie Mae Boone-Harbin

DEMOPOLIS – Willie Mae Boone-Harbin, 58, of Demopolis died on March 23, 2007 at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev. Sid Rowser is the pastor. The Rev. Nathaniel Carter officiated. Ms. Johnnie R. Jefferson was the mistress of order.

Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two children, Richard C. Boone II and wife, Glynis of Demopolis and Felecia Jackson and husband Paul of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Ola Mae Nixon of Demopolis, Martha A. Purse of Cleveland, Ohio, Jackie McGrew of Tuscaloosa and Barbara Walton and husband, Robert of Boligee; five brothers, Columbus McGrew and wife, Rosie of Aurora, Ill., Charles McGrew of New Orleans, Henry McGrew and wife, Ester of Dallas, Texas, David Hooper of Lansing, Mich.; and Lonnie McGrew Jr. and wife Linda of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Deacon Leonard Evans

DEMOPOLIS – Deacon Leonard Evans, 87 of Demopolis died on March 21, 2007 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis, Alabama.

Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Honoree Lockett officiated.

Interment followed in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis.

Deacon Jesse Wheeler was the master of order. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a friend, guardian and caretaker, Evelyn Johnson of Demopolis, 21 children and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mattie Thomas

LINDEN – Mattie Thomas, 86, of Linden died on March 22, 2007 at her residence in Linden.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the St. Peter Baptist Church in Linden. The Rev. Byron Hannah officiated. Mary Gray was the mistress of order.

Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.

Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two granddaughters, Kim G. Royster of Newark, Ohio and Toi L. Green Parriott; two grandsons, Granger G. Green and Charles Shackleford; stepdaughters, Maxine Dallas and Fannie Edwards of Detroit; two devoted God-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends.

George L. Grover

JEFFERSON – George L. Grover, 61 of Jefferson died on March 23, 2007 at his residence in Jefferson. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Small Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in Jefferson. The Rev. Lawrence Wofford officiated.

Interment followed in Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson.

Lawrence Grover and wife, Massey of Jefferson and Jerome Grover and wife, Ernestine of Jefferson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Frank Richardson

FORKLAND – Frank Richardson, 73 of Forkland died on March 30, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Evening Star Baptist Church in Forkland. The Rev. Willie Carter will officiate.

Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. The remains will repose beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Public viewing will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home chapel.

Mary J. Cosby

DEMOPOLIS – Mary J. Cosby, age 88, of Demopolis died on April 2, 2007 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Henry Thompson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Millers Chapel Cemetery in Demopolis.

Public viewing will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home chapel.
