Ilene Cobb McPherson, 70, a homemaker of Gallion died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at her home.

She was born May 8, 1942 in Gallion. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry William Cobb and Donnie Mildridge Etheridge Cobb; a brother, David Cobb; and a sister, Lena Earl Cobb.

She is survived by her husband, Frank R. “Dickie” McPherson Sr. of Gallion; two sons, Gregg (Donna) McPherson of Demopolis and Rickie (Pamela) McPherson of Gallion; a brother, Winston (Janice) Cobb of Gallion; and six sisters, Dot (Harold) Pruitt of Gallion, Mildred Duke of Gallion, Joyce Dennison of Gallion, Margie (Don) Williams of Demopolis, June (Jim) Hardley of Brewton and Cudie Hinson of Gallion.

Graveside funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Huggins officiating.

Active pallbearers were Darrell Cobb, Donnie Cobb, Mike Kaylor, Robin Kaylor, Keith Hinson and David Barnes.

Honorary pallbearers were Tony Minard, Ricky Home and Hunter Smyly.
