Demopolis (7-0, 5-0) travels to Satsuma (1-6, 1-4) Friday night to take on the Gators.

The Tigers coming off of a huge homecoming win over Sumter-Central last week, and next week’s game against undefeated region foe Jackson is looming.

Head coach Tom Causey said his team is focused on the task at hand and they understand they just have to take it a day at a time.

“That’s not a problem for us,” he said. “Anybody that knows anything about team sports knows that the minute you start looking down the road, bad things happen. We know we have to take it one day at a time.”

Even though Satsuma’s record is poor this season, Causey said his team would still have to come prepared and ready for a fight.

“Records don’t matter this time of year,” he said. “If a team shows up not prepared and the other team is, you could wind up with a region loss that will haunt you for the rest of the season.”
