Wild Times at the Library

Children of all ages enjoyed a unique animal show Tuesday, June 21, as part of the Summer Reading Program at the Demopolis Public Library. John Ham, a naturalist with Animal Tales, introduced the children to a variety of animal species, including an Egyptian Fruit Bat, a Brazilian Rainbow Boa (pictured above), a rat, falcon, and a red kangaroo named Max. Max is pictured to the right as he demonstrates his jumping skills with volunteer students holding a 2×4 for him to jump over. The Animal Tales’ program is provided through edZoocation, providing over 1,300 live animal educational programs every year across 15 states.
