Donald Stewart Williams

Donald Stewart Williams, 81, of Demopolis died May 13, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Williams was born June 22, 1934 in Greensboro. He was a retired insurance agent with Mutual Savings Insurance Company and a member of Demopolis First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Williams of Demopolis; their children, Scott (Tonya) Williams of Demopolis, Tim (Cindy) Williams of Demopolis, David (Carol) Barnes of Moundville, Gina (John C.) Jay of Greensboro; brother, Roland Williams of Moundville; two sisters, Beatrice Caldow of Tuscaloosa, and Imogene McCrory of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Faye Overstreet Williams.
Funeral services were held at Demopolis First United Methodist Church on Monday, May 16, at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Willis and Rev. Kenny Overstreet officiating. Burial was in the Forkland Methodist Cemetery in Forkland.
Active Pallbearers were: Randy McCrory, Keith McCrory, David Williams, Dwight Williams, Ronnie Overstreet, Steve Caldow, and Bill McCarter.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Judge Claud Neilson, Judge Harold Crow, Judge Ben McLaughin, Bob (Hawkeye) Morrow, John David Knight, AB Powell, John Percy Oliver, Frank Sampson, and Tom Little.
