John Scott “Johnny” Williams, 69, of Forkland passed away on September 17, 2016.
Johnny was born October 13, 1946 in Marengo County to the late Thomas Monroe and Ruby Irene Supple Williams.
He is preceded by his parents; daughter, Angela Lynn Williams; and one brother, James Emmit Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Compton Williams; two sons, John Scott Williams Jr. (Judy Parsons) of Forkland and Donald Dwain Williams (Leslie Dial) of Demopolis; sisters, Ruth McDaniel of Atlanta, Ruby Ward of Camden, and Carol Fultz of Demopolis; grandchildren, Bobby Anderson, John Scott Williams III (Trey), Anna Kaye Williams, Jake Williams, and Savannah Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Hunter Anderson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Rev. Dunford Cole and Bro. David Murray officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family received friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial followed the service at Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Ryan Ward, Scott Ward, Robbie Rorie, Wayne Langley, Dave Compton, and William Allen. Honorary pallbearers were John Smith, Jeff Tucker, Mike Thomas, Derrick Williams, and Gene Sammons.
