FUMC Friendship Club holds October meeting

The Friendship Club of Demopolis First United Methodist Church met on Monday, Oct. 14, in the FUMC Fellowship Hall. There were 40 members present and four guests: Jackson and Noah Moore, John Carter Wallace, and Anne Cross Loper.

The Wesley Circle was responsible for the meal, which included hamburger steak and gravy, rice, creamed corn, rolls and assorted desserts. Those responsible for preparing and serving the meal were: Debbie Butler, Catherine Meador, Mary Beth Freeman, and Vickie Wilson.

Because of the annual Bazaar, there will be no meeting in November.

Kayte Melton led members in singing “Happy Birthday” to those present who have birthdays in October and those who have birthdays up through the first part of December. Those will birthdays in October are Jane Wallace, Dan Wilson, and Mary Beth Freeman. Those with birthdays in November are Kayte Melton and Meador Jones.

The next meeting of the Friendship Club will be Monday, Dec. 9. Mark your calendar and try to attend this meeting. Those who would like to play dominoes or bridge should plan to arrive by 10 a.m.
