Eva Louise Lewis of Gallion died Jan. 22, 2017 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis.
Mrs. Lewis was born March 1, 1931, in Clanton, Alabama, to the late Robert and Ruby Bates Easterling.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Floyd Lewis, two sons, Joseph and Freddie Lewis; two sisters, Bobbie Blalock and Betty Wilkins; and a brother, Billy Easterling.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Phillips (Larry) of Gallion and Patricia Hannah (Terry) of Demopolis; a son, Durwood Smith (Virginia) of Gallion; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis with the Rev. Scott Stevens and grandson Andy Phillips officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel is directing.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until 10:50 before the service. Burial will follow the service at Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Hannah, Lloyd Hannah, Buster Ward, Jimmy King, Sam Spencer, and Carson Hannah.
Honorary pallbearers will be Southern Care Hospice, the staff at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home, Gwinn Etheredge, and the Fairhaven Ladies 5-6 Sunday School Class.
