Replicas of Columbus’ ships dock in Demopolis
Replicas of the Niña and the Pinta, two of Christopher Columbus’ famed ships, have docked in Kingfisher Bay Marina at the Demopolis Yacht Basin and are open May 3-5, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can tour the two ships and ask crew members questions about sailing two of history’s most well-known caravels. Admission charges are $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $6.50 for students aged 5 – 16. No reservations necessary. Children 4 and under are free.
