Lois Elaine Miller Diller

Lois Elaine Miller Diller our dear mother and grandmother was born to Lloyd and Ruby McNabb Miller on September 6, 1928, in Lansing, Michigan. Her loving Savior quietly called her home on May 1, 2016, reaching the age of 87 years.
Her early years were spent in Gratiot County, Michigan. Later her parents moved to northern Michigan where she also finished her formal schooling. At the age of 19 Mom gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, in January of 1948. She was true to this faith and covenant until the end. On Nov. 14, 1948, Mom married Elmer Jay Diller, our dear father, at Ithaca, Michigan. They cherished their companionship for over 58 years. Their home was blessed with one daughter and two sons. In 1953, Dad and Mom were inspired to move to the rural area of Louisville, Georgia. It was not an easy life for many years, but God rewarded them as they labored in making a living on the farm and raising their family. Later, in 1977, they moved to the Gallion, Alabama rural community. Here they continued to farm, making it their home until their passing. Through the years that followed they made many new friends in the area. Mom was a gracious and hospitable person. She loved people and it was a frequent experience to have company over for a meal. It did not matter whether they were relatives or strangers.
Those left who cherish her memory are: one daughter, Patricia and husband Calvin Unruh of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Kenneth and wife Faith of Gallion, and Steve and wife Sandra of Knightdale, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, all who loved her dearly; two sisters, Joyce Rendal of Cadillac, Michigan and Vera Lausee’ of Lynchburg, Tennessee; one brother, Verle Miller of Perrington, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her dear husband, parents, one sister, two brothers, five brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law preceded her in death.
