Miss Bigbee Beauties
On Sunday, May 26, Marengo Beauties hosted its second annual Miss Bigbee Beauties at Marengo Academy in Linden. The pageant is a fundraiser for the Bigbee Humane Society. Money was raised from fees, Peoples Choice votes, raffles, and door admission. The pageant brought 26 beautiful young ladies from four different counties. The pageant raised a total of $2,020 and provided a total of $197 for the local humane society. Bigbee Humane is not a county funded shelter and runs strictly from donations and profits from their thrift store in Demopolis. Pictured are, from left, Roree Meeks, Whitney Hall of Bigbee Humane Society, Olivia Tripp, Naudia Reed (also the Peoples Choice winner), Aubrey Dunavent, Journi Lawrence, and pageant director Ashleigh Hood. Queen Cassidy Crawford and Miss Hospitality Kashlyn Burton are not pictured.
