Demopolis City Schools, Linden City Schools, Marengo County Schools and Marengo Academy will delay the start of school on Wednesday, Jan. 30 until 10 a.m. due to the threat of severe weather.

Marengo County Schools said teachers and staff are to report at 9:30 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Tuesday and Wednesday, saying the main concern is damaging straight-line winds along with an isolated tornado threat right along and just ahead of the squall line. The threat of severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes is expected to enter the area around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
