The Friendship Club of the Demopolis First United Methodist Church met Monday, May 13 in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. There were 47 present. Mrs. Michelle Raines was a guest.

Cards were sent to Don Williams, Mrs. Russell (Marie) Burdett, Mrs. Arthur Lee (Joyce) Hitt and Frank Dunn.

Lunch included baked ziti, green salad, Texas toast and an assortment of desserts. The meal was prepared and served by the SOS UMW group. Those who served were Mrs. Lee (Jennifer) Jordan, Mrs. Chad (Beth) Wideman and Melissa Marchionda.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to those present whose birthdays are in May, including Mrs. Bill (Lee) Arrington and Mrs. John (Mary Lane) Caldwell.

The next meeting of the Friendship Club will be Monday, June 10.
