LIVINGSTON – Local sports talk radio host Hunter Gibson will step into the University of West Alabama football radio booth as color analyst beginning with the 2013 season opener against Clark Atlanta on Sept. 7.

Gibson joins James Hardy, who steps into the football play-by-play role after serving as the analyst in 2012. Rob Pearson will return as the Tigers’ in-game sideline reporter for selected games.

In addition to radio stints on WWSL in Philadelphia, Miss., ESPN 104.9 and numerous stations in the Meridian, Miss., Gibson also currently works at WTOK-TV in Meridian.

Jason Gardner and Ben Maxwell will continue in their role as co-hosts of the UWA Coaches Show. The weekly show, which airs live from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday’s from Austin’s Steakhouse in Livingston, will return to the airwaves on ESPN 104.9 and www.espn1049.com on August 27.
