Hoover Police have released more details about a fatal shooting during an Iron Bowl party at an apartment complex.

The shooting occurred at about 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Summerchase at Riverchase apartments at 100 Summerchase Drive. Two women, both Alabama fans who did not know each prior to the party, got into a disagreement of some kind after the game ended, Hoover Police spokesman Capt. Jim Coker said in a Dec. 1 news release.

“The argument moved to the parking lot, and became a physical altercation on the ground. The victim was shot with a small caliber handgun,” Coker said.
