Miriam Vaughan Johnson
Miriam Vaughan Johnson, age 93, died on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Woodhaven Manor in Demopolis.
She was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. at Lipscomb Cemetery in Demopolis with the Rev. Ray Bass officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Calvin Johnson; her parents, John Christopher Vaughan and Ira Ida Patterson Vaughan; one sister, Ira Carol Vaughan; and two brothers, Charles Theodore Vaughan and John Christopher “J.C.” Vaughan.
Survivors include two daughters, Miriam “Sissy” Wideman and Carol (Mike) Glass, both of Demopolis; three grandchildren, De. Amanda Glass, Michael Glass and Chad (Beth) Wideman; two great-grandchildren, Tanner Wideman and Emery Wideman; and one brother, Thomas Earl “Presh” (Betty) Vaughan of Demopolis.
