Oscar G. Hill, 90, of Demopolis passed away April 13 at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital. He was a Mason, Shriner, past member of the Lions Club and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a member of the United States Army and retired from Borden Chemical Company. Graveside services will be held April 16 at 11 a.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Clyde Hill, his sisters, Maurine Pharr, Mattie Lee Norris, Judson Jones, Grace Dixon and Lilly Jones, a brother, Johnny C. Hill and son-in-law, Tommy Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Erma Etheridge Hill, of Demopolis; daughter, Brenda Kathryn Miller, of Demopolis; son, Ronnie Gray (Martha Lois) of Belmont; brother, David Leon Hill, of Demopolis; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Vice, Ricky Vice, Jim “Shorty” Manderson, Mike Hill, Benny Kirkham, Bobby Kirkham, Bill Baker and Fred Schoenrock.
Honorary pallbearers will be will be Dr. Lee Loftin, Frank Dunn, Marvin Etheridge, Kenneth Vice, Ted Dunn, B.R. Dunn, Metford Pharr, Jerry Jones, Employees of Dr. Ketcham and Dismukes, employees and staff of Southern Oaks and the members of Masonic Lodge No. 49.
