Alvin Lawrence Stone, Sr., age 64, of Demopolis died on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
He was born on May 27, 1945, in Suttle, Ala. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie (Elizabeth) Stone and Jesse (Shelly) Stone, both of Livingston; a daughter, Penny Hamilton of Demopolis; a brother, John (Faye) Stone of Linden; a sister, Annette Ackers of Dothan; a grandson, Ethan Hamilton of Sweet Water; and his children’s mother, Nancy W. Kearley of Livingston.
Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery on Tuesday, May 18, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Baughman officiating. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed the services.
Honorary pallbearers were Moses Wilkinson, Ben Wilkinson, Clayton Egbert, Drew Evans, Clay Elliott, James Elliott, Tony Stone, Mark Thrash, Brad Hamilton, Ethan Hamilton, Bill Ingram and his nieces and nephews.
