Rudy Averette, age 64, of Faunsdale passed away on May 28, 2010, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1945, in Columbus, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hester Ingram and Myrtis Porter Averette.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Jo Ledet Averette; a daughter, Stacy Michelle (Eddie) Pearson of Faunsdale; a son, Rudy Dean (Sylvia) Averette of Pembroke, N.C.; a sister, Debbie (Jonathon) Chapelle of Selma; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, May 31, at 11 a.m.. at Faunsdale Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George McKee officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel is directing the services.
