ATMORE – Escambia Academy downed Marengo Academy (1-2) 50-29 Friday night.

Despite a strong offensive effort some some of the Longhorn’s key contributors, MA was unable to out pace the Cougars.

Matt Wallace led the ‘Horns’ offensive attack. The senior gun-slinger threw four touchdown passes and two 2-point conversions. Finished the night 10-for-14 with 128 yards and accounted for all but one of the Longhorns 29 points.

Trevor Johnson caught three TD passes while Rabe Hale led the rushing attack with 97 yards on 20 carries. Matt Etheridge followed with 83 yards on 19 carries.
