Donations being taken in Linden

With the recent tornado that caused major destruction in Tuscaloosa, the Linden Fire Department – in conjunction with Marengo County Fire and Rescue Squad and Papa Foods – are teaming up together to take much needed items to the victims.

The public is invited to bring water, baby formula, diapers clothes, school supplies and other non-perishible items to the Linden fire Department from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday or contact Chief James Creel at (334) 295-5114 or Denny Baynham at (334) 341-7965; Marengo County Fire and Rescue Squad at their store from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon or you can contact Chief Charles Tucker at (334) 295-4119 or Frances Crouch at (334) 341-0483; Papa’s Foods Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. or contact Carter Echols at (334) 295-8888.
