Carl William Foster , 88, of Marion died Thursday, June 2 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Born April 8, 1923 in Bibb County to the late David Bass and Emma Kate Smith Foster, he is survived by his wife, Ann Ernestine Warbington Foster, daughters Connie (Davis) Andrews of Selma, Brenda (Franklin) Crocker of Decatur, Ga., Judy (Ken) Moseley of Gallion, Donna (Rickey) Moseley of Demopolis and Valeria (Darrin) Hinton of Newbern, son Carl Eugene Foster of Hoover, sister Shirley (Jim) Turley of Scott Station, brothers Carnell (Alice) Foster of Scott Station and R.L. (Shirley) Foster of Centreville, as well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5 at Hopewell Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Joe Bob Mizeell officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m.

Active pallbearers are Carl Crocker, Sid Crocker, Philip Crocker, Thad Moseley, Foster Hinton, Charlie Warren, Brandon Taylor, Drew Rich and Derric Jordan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials amy be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Hopewell Baptist Church General Fund.
