Arthur Coleman Parten

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Coleman Parten, 81, of Butler will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 A.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler with Rev. Bo Brantley officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery in Jachin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Parten passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. He was a retired machinist for Vanity Fair. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Parten is survived by his wife of 58 years Robye Jewel Rowzee Parten of Butler; son Perry B. Parten (Kay) of Demopolis; daughter Rochelle Parten Gray (Kenneth Mark) of Alabaster; brother Cecil Parten of Wetumpka; grandchildren Jennifer Parten Sager (Paul) of Thomasville; John Allen Parten of Tuscaloosa; Robert William Boutwell of Demopolis; Andrew Mark Gray of Alabaster; Adam Lamar Gray of Alabaster.

Mr. Parten was preceded in death by his parents Norman Stone Parten and Mary Evelyn Digmon Parten.

Pallbearers: Andy Gray, John Parten, Paul Sager, Steve Fluker, David Parten, Dave Hamilton, Rob Boutwell, Adam Gray, and Cecil Parten.
