Thelma Joyce Grant Hall, 77, of Gallion died Aug. 25 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Born Oct. 31, 1933 in Jackson County to the late Zack C. and Betty Manor Gant, she is survived by her husband of 59 years and 25 days, Frank Hall Sr., daughter Sherrie Hall (Jimbo) York of Gallion, sons Franky (Ramona) Hall Jr. of Gallion, Timmy (Pam) Hall of Gallion, sisters Pearl Satterfield, Ruth Satterfield and Emma Pittman, brother Howard Gant, grandchildren Rebecca York and her son Jackson York, Jamee York, Mary Lemuel York, Whitney Hall, Haley Hall, Seth Hall, Gant Hall and his wife Olivialeigh and their daughter Rebecca Kate Hall, and Davis Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Artie Carter, Maggie Burrows and Irene Waller and her brother Zeke Gant.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at Gallion Baptist Church with the Rev. Hank Atchison officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 at the church. Burial will follow in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers include Gant Hall, Davis Hall, Seth Hall, Jimbo York, L.R. Stuedeman and Dr. Ted Stuedeman, DVM.

Honorary Pallbearers include the Men’s Sunday School Class at Gallion Baptist Church and the Deacon Board of Gallion Baptist Church and Dr. Keith Dismukes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gallion Baptist Church general Fund.
