Sweet Water (7-1, 6-0) travels to Mobile Christian (7-1, 5-1) this week for a game that will decide the region championship. The winner will earn a No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
The Leopards only loss of the season came last week against Washington County, who Sweet Water defeated 20-6 in week seven.
A.L. Johnson (4-4, 2-4) goes on the road to Dixons Mills this week to take on the Marengo Panthers (0-8, 0-6) in the final region game for both teams.
Neither team will make the playoffs this season, but there is still a lot of pride on the line in this intra-county matchup. The Eagles will look to secure at least a .500 record for the season, and the Panthers are still searching for their first win of the year.
The Longhorns (5-4, 4-2) host their final regular season game of the season Thursday night against Southern Academy (2-7, 1-4).
Marengo Academy has already secured a No. 2 seed in the AISA playoffs that begin next week.
