Thomas D Eddins of Rosebud died Friday, Sept. 14 in a Temple hospital.
He was born on Aug. 31, 1948, to Thomas H and Imogene Purvis Eddins in Meridian, Miss. He grew up in Mississippi and Alabama. He moved to Texas with his family in 1993. On Aug. 28, 1973, he married Kiren Thompson of Tuscaloosa.
He served 20 years in the Air Force and retired as a master sergeant in October 1987 at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo. After retiring, he worked for Contel Telephone, GTE, AG Communications and Harris Corporation. He earned his associate degree in communication engineering from Colorado Tech.
Survivors include his wife; son, Thomas Matthew Eddins and wife Nicole of Olympia, Wash.; two daughters, Heather Davila and husband Ben of Temple and Leigh Milazzo and husband Dorian of Waco; brother, Cotton Eddins and wife, Kitty of Demopolis; sister, Belinda Johnson of Elberta; his parents; in-laws Willard and Evelynea Thompson of Tuscaloosa; brother in-law Gary Thompson of Tuscaloosa; and three granddaughters, Miranda and Miley Davila of Temple and Isabella Milazzo of Waco.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 17 in Rosebud. Memorials may be made to the Vasicek Cancer Center, c/o Scott & White Memorial HospitaL 2401 S 31st St Temple, TX 76508.
