ASWA releases All-State Softball Team

The Alabama Sports Writers Association released their All-State Softball teams Saturday, and five girls from Marengo Academy were named to the AISA team.

Pitcher Andrea Edmonds, second baseman Chandler Stenz and outfielder Taylor Barley were named as starters. Catcher Reesa Holifield and shortstop Katie Tucker were named honorable mentions.

Marengo Academy head coach Danny Stenz was named the AISA Coach of the Year.
