Daphne Denise Morgan, 51, of Thomaston, died Oct. 24 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 8, 1962, in Grove Hill. She was a former medical transcriptionist and a member of the Thomaston Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Morgan of Thomaston; daughters, Tracey (Garrett) Hollon of Clanton and Kathleen Morgan of Thomaston; son, James (Bridget) Morgan of Meridian, Miss.; father, Tom (Pam) Gwin of Walker Springs; mother, Ann (Terry) Counselman of Thomaston; brothers, Bruce Gwin of Gallion and Phillip Counselman of Fairhope; and five grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m., with the Revs. Randall Mims and Brooks Barkley officiating.

Active pallbearers were Nathan Gwin, Stewart Gwin, Brian Morgan, Al West, Kevin West and Kenneth Carraway.
