Pastor, Honorable Judge, Dr. William McKinley Branch of Forkland entered into eternal rest Monday, Jan. 13 at UAB Hospital at the age of 95.
Born in Forkland in severe poverty, Dr. Branch became the first African American Probate Judge in the United States of America. Celebration of life services for Dr. Branch will convene on Saturday, Jan. 18 at noon at Greene County High School.
The remains will lie in state Friday, Jan. 17 from 2-4 p.m. at the William McKinley Branch Courthouse in Eutaw. Wake services will be held Friday, Jan. 17 from 5-7 p.m. at the Ebeneezer Missionary Baptist Church in Forkland.
