During college, Campbell interned at Rush Health Systems Marketing and Human Resources in Meridian, Miss.

She was a UWA Student Ambassador, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and the Public Relations and Media officer for the UWA chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Campbell also spent much of her time in school as a writer for the student newspaper, muse, and a field reporter for the student newscast, Tiger Pause.

“I am thrilled to join The Demopolis Times staff,” she said. “I look forward to becoming a part of this great community and working with many businesses in what I love to do.”

Campbell began working at The Demopolis Times on Tuesday. She will join Drew Tucker in handling the newspaper’s advertising accounts.

“I’m excited to welcome Shelby to our staff,” said Publisher Justin Averette.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to work with her and fully expect business owners in Demopolis and Marengo County will feel likewise. Shelby and Drew will make a great team in servicing our advertising accounts.”
