Lillian H. Barton, 104, of Montgomery and formerly of Forkland, died Monday, June 30 at John Knox Manor.

She was born May 9, 1910, in West Greene, Ala., to the late Will and Ethel Hales Hardy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin C. Barton Sr.; and siblings.

She is survived by her son, Marlin C. Barton Jr. of Montgomery; sister, Jane Gay of Big Lake, Texas; and grandson, Marlin C. (Rhonda) Barton III of Montgomery.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2 at 3 p.m. at Forkland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Forkland United Methodist Church from 2-3 p.m. before the service begins at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Deborah Born will be officiating with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
