Thomas Earl Trotter, 62, of Linden, died Jan. 22, 2016 at his home.
Thomas was born Feb. 9, 1953 in Beckley, West Virginia. He was board mill foreman at Westrock and was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Dottie Westbrook Trotter of Linden; two sons, Michael Thomas (Elizabeth) Trotter of Demopolis and William “Billy” David (Jessie) Trotter of Providence, Alabama; two sisters, Connie (John) Chambers of Northport, Alabama and Mellissa (Larry) Hasty of Providence; step-mother, Doris C. Trotter of Needham, Alabama; mother-in-law, Mary S. Westbrook of Linden; five grandchildren, Cole Thomas Trotter, Anna Bradley Trotter, Bailey Paget Trotter, Kenzie Morgan Smyly, and Lawson Tate Smyly; four sisters-in-law, Debbie Foxhall of Demopolis, Donna (Ronnie) Stokes of Thomaston, Dianne (Daryl) Green of Surginer, Alabama and Dale (Danny) Smith of Tupelo, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews; a special friend like a brother, David Gaddy, and Rich Quinney, who he thought of like a son.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland David Trotter; his mother, Camilla Vanzant Trotter; and a brother, Ronnie Trotter.
Funeral services were held at Forest Hill Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Sharp and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Burial was in the Old Linden Cemetery in Linden. Active pallbearers were: John Chambers, Brad Trotter, Justin Hasty, Brian Hasty, Chris Fox Jonathan Foxhall, Jason Stokes, and Freddy Steen. Honorary pallbearers were: Westrock Board Mill employees, Staff of Cancer Care Center of Demopolis, Amedisys Home Health Nurses, and Southern Care Hospice Nurses.
