Mary Newton Etheredge, 64, a hairdresser of Sweet Water, died July 3, 2017 at her home.

Mary was born Nov. 11, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama to George Edward and Christine Morgan Newton. She was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Etheredge of Sweet Water; son Wayne (Jennifer) Etheredge of Sweet Water; her mother, Christine Newton of Thomasville; and two brothers, Billy Newton and Charles Newton, both of Pine Hill, Alabama.

Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5, at 2 p.m. with Billy Boggs and Joe Littlepage officiating. Burial was in the Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill.

Active Pallbearers were: Reagan Daniels, James Earl Witherspoon, Ted Nelson, Donnie Rogers, Stanley Etheredge, and R. D. Tyler.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Wanda McIntosh, Diane Cobb, Denise Smith, and the staff of Legacy Hospice.
