Jimmie Wilson McCollum, 89, of Mobile, Alabama died March 5, 2020 at Crown Health Care of Mobile.

Jimmie was born Nov. 30, 1930 in Jasper, Alabama to Benjamin Franklin and Georgia May Wilson. She was a retired insurance agent with Marengo Insurance Company and was a member of First Baptist Church Demopolis.

She is survived by her son, Steve McCollum (Wanda) of Grand Bay, Alabama; three daughters, Nan Cox of Oneonta, Alabama, Melinda Ruschmeyer (Bill) of Foley, Alabama, and Diane Lewis (Johnny) of Demopolis; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 9, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Garry Harrod and Zachary Pratt officiating.

Active pallbearers were John Lewis, Justin Rivas, Brian Phillips, Matt McCollum, Gabe McCollum and Chandler Phillips.
