The Demopolis City Schools Foundation is excited to announce its collaboration with DHS Tiger Studios, Tiger Arts Guild, and DHS marketing students-A Night of Lights.
A Night of Lights, the Foundation’s first virtual event in its history, includes an online silent auction and a live-streamed event produced and directed by students from DHS Tiger Studios
and Tiger Arts Guild programs. DHS marketing students are tasked with the marketing and promotions of the event.
Registration to participate in the Online Silent Auction begins April 12 with bidding starting on April 21. Early registration is recommended. Register by April 16 to be entered for a chance to win a gift card! Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Foundation’s grant program. Information on how to register for the auction will be released closer to the date of the event, as well as a sneak peak of some of the items up for bidding.
The live-stream event is scheduled for April 28 at 6:30 PM. It will focus on Foundation awareness, grants in action, donor recognition, and the talents of students in our school system. A link will be provided closer to the time of when you can tune in. You won’t want to miss it!
“I am excited to work with Mrs. Tartt and Mrs. Kerby and their students on this event. Earlier in the year, in preparing for our donor celebration, I knew we would need to consider a virtual option with all that’s going on, but we also needed a way to make sure our donors knew how much their continued support means to us. I feel that A Night of Lights is an excellent way for the Foundation to do this and to try something new. Now, working with two super creative teachers and their talented kids, I can’t wait for A Night of Lights! I cannot thank Mrs. Tartt and Mrs. Kerby enough for their willingness to work with us on this project!” -Ashley Coplin, Executive Director of the Foundation
