The Linden Police Department has arrested a man allegedly linked to a rash of recent burglaries.

On Feb. 12, LPD received information that led them to a Demopolis pawn shop, where someone had pawned stolen items.

Linden officers, along with those from Demopolis, went to the shop and were told Martell Williams, 19, was the person who pawned the stolen property.

The police began searching for Williams on Feb. 13, and he was found at his apartment on Easley Street in Linden. He was arrested without incident and taken to the Linden Police Department for questioning.

During the arrest, Williams was found to be in possession of additional stolen property, according to Linden PD.

Police believe Williams was involved in several burglaries over the past few months. Those cases are still pending and are under investigation.

Williams was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary. At the time of his arrest, he was out on bond from a previous charge of second-degree receiving stolen property.
