The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch effective until 2 a.m. for Marengo County.

The watch also includes Sumter County and parts of Southwest Alabama, the southern half of Mississippi and eastern Louisiana.

Other Alabama counties in the watch are Baldwin, Conecuh, Mobile, Washington, Choctaw, Escambia, Monroe, Wilcox and Clarke.
