Alabama A&M presents over $323,000 to DHS seniors
Alabama A&M Office of Admissions presented scholarships to seniors at Demopolis High School on Wednesday, March 14.
Alabama A&M’s Office of Admissions Interim Director Dwayne Green, Assistant Director Cary Watkins, Admissions Counselors, Gerald Williams, and Demond Lester were instrumental in making the presentations a success.
The representatives of Alabama A&M thanks DHS Principal Blaine Hathcock and DSH Counselor Traci Philen Pearson for their assistance in qualifying students for the scholarships, which totaled $323,752.
The following scholarships were awarded to DHS students.
The Heritage Bronze Scholarships of $6,000: Chris Williams and Jamia Washington.
Heritage Silver of $14,000: Jamirea Gator, Alexus Keller, Aireka Riggs and Jayjuan Wallace.
Heritage Gold of $20,000: Jalyn Branch, Melvin Childers, Kemani Iwu, Xavier Jackson, Stefan McCall, Treyveion McKinley, Ashley Moore, Charise Smith, Jamaal Thurmond and Tyler Ward.
Merit Scholarship of $32,880: Tijaynna Kelly.
Presidential Scholarship of $82,872.00: Lula Boone.
