Moore seeks re-election as Linden mayor
Charles Moore has announced that he will seek re-election as mayor of Linden.
“I am passionate about the future of the City of Linden; therfore, I am announcing my candidacy to run for re-election as mayor of the city. My heart is in the City of Linden and I want the opportunity to continue the work that is in progress from my first administration. It is my hope and dream to see Linden prosper and to be the place that future generations want to live,” he said.
“I bring extensive business and leadership experience to the mayoral positiont through my past political positions,” he said. “I have served on the Linden City Council for two years, on the Marengo County Board of Commissions for 16 years, and as mayor of the City of Linden for the past four years. I am grateful for those who have supported my past service.”
Moore is a lifelong resident of Marengo County and has lived in Linden for 50 years, since he married his wife, Cheryl.
“We raised our two children in Linden and they have raised their children here. Our daughter, Cindi is married to Dennis Beckenridge, and they have a daughter, Marti, and a son, Hutson. Our son, Christopher, is married to Leah (Ramsey) and they also have two children, Jordyn and Ramsey,” he said.
“I would appreciate your continued support so that together we can continue to make Linden a town for all the people,” Moore said.
The Linden City Election will be held on Tuesday, August 23.
